Hi, I’m Megan.
Pssst. I
made this sweater!
I’m a marketing and communications leader, entrepreneur, and educator with over a decade of experience.
I’m eager to show how my background in strategic content creation, copywriting, multimedia content, and cross-functional collaboration can add value to your marketing org.
My Strengths
Entrepreneurial
My entrepreneurial background has given me a meaningful understanding of brand strategy and consumer behavior, crucial for connecting with business decision-makers as consumers. I am an entrepreneur, I work with and teach entrepreneurs, and I’ve connected with executives of startups through various professional collaborations. I know businesses have to pivot many times in order to be functional in today’s content-driven world.
Strategic
I’m not about marketing to trends. Why? I can see that strategy builds results. In my current role, I’ve led the charge of building data-driven insights that allow us to carve out a space in our university for a diverse range of programming that resonates with our audiences of students, faculty and alumni. This has allowed me to lead marketing initiatives that have successfully increased event registration by 235% and fellowship applications by 120%.
CWRU Entrepreneurship
Home Page
Serving as Content Designer, I led this initiative to completely overhaul the Veale Institute for Entrepreneurship website, alongside University Marketing Central. Here’s where it was before. (Yikes!) I wrote all of the copy and instructed the web team on how to lay out and design the page.
My Work
Veale Foundation
Quarterly Reports
Part of my role includes submitting quarterly reports to the Veale Foundation, who fund the Veale Institute for Entrepreneurship at CWRU. I do, well, everything for these reports. Gathering data, designing layout, writing copy, interviewing subjects for storytelling, hiring photographers, and whatever else comes up.
DEI-Centered
Storytelling
Part of my role as the sole MarCom representative for the Veale Institute for Entrepreneurship is to tell the stories of our CWRU Entrepreneurs, whether they are students, faculty or alumni. As a team we are devoted to being sure the stories we tell represent the diversity of our community. I have created a number of videos that we share to our website and social media, as well as written corresponding articles to publish on our blog and the university’s daily newsletter.
